The swift and friendly manner in which I was received when I arrived. I was given all the information about the guesthouse at arrival and helped to swiftly access a bank when I had to pay the driver, even being accompanied in case a foreigner would not be immediately understood. They made me feel as if I was not a foreigner. All the social warmth you can imagine, a reasonably well priced property indeed.

공감 게스트 하우스에 들어오자마자 따뜻한 환영을 받았습니다. 저에게 게스트 하우스 사용에 대한 설명을 하나에서부터 열까지 친절하게 해주셨습니다. 심지어 택시비 지불을 위해 은행을 가야 하는 저를 위해 은행까지 함께 동행해주셨습니다. 마치 오래된 친구에게 도움을 받는 듯한 기분을 느꼈습니다. 합리적인 가격은 물론, 상상 그 이상의 환영을 받으실 거예요.

The staff is super friendly and speak an array of languages to accommodate its guest (English, Spanish, Korean, Chinese…). The room are spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is about a 10-20 minute walk to the club district and shopping areas! Overall great hostel working for a great cause.

공감 게스트 하우스에 계신 모든 직원 분들은 친절함은 물론이고 영어, 스페인어, 한국어 그리고 중국어까지 다양한 언어로 손님들을 맞이해 줍니다. 각 객실은 깨끗하고 넓고 정말 집 같은 포근함까지 느껴집니다. 이 뿐만 아니라 게스트 하우스에서 10-20분 정도 걸어나가면 클럽에서부터 쇼핑까지 즐길 수 있습니다.

Love this place. This guesthouse is not just a guesthouse it is a community organization bringing awareness and offering help to North Korean Defectors. The facility is well organized. I arrived at night and was a bit thrown off by the two entrances. Small one w/ digicode is for the dorms and the main one is for the reception and community lounge. I cannot express enough how grateful I am to the staff at Empathy Guesthouse recommended some great places and helped me find my way through town. Location is perfect. has a couple nearby metro stations and a few blocks away from Daegu Train Station. If you are allergic to dogs, you may want to bring your allergy meds. There is a cute 4-legged resident. Very candid and friendly.

공감 게스트 하우스! 제 마음에 쏙 듭니다. 제가 본 공감 게스트 하우스는 단순히 게스트 하우스라기 보단 북한탈북자들에 대한 인식을 새롭게 세워주고, 그들에게 필요한 도움을 주는 하나의 커뮤니티 단체 같았습니다. 이곳의 시설은 매우 깔끔하게 정돈되어있습니다. 이 뿐만 아니라 공감 게스트 하우스는 디지털도어락으로 연결된 객실과 안내 데스크와 쉴 수 있는 공간으로 나눠져 있습니다. 사실 제가 처음 이곳에 도착 했을 때 늦은 밤이었는데, 이 디지털도어럭 때문에 좀 고생했었던 기억이 있습니다. 하지만 이러한 고생도 공감 게스트 하우스의 직원 분들의 친절함과 도움으로 다 지워낼 수 있었습니다. 공감 게스트 하우스 주위에 편리 시설이 갖춰져 있어서, 감히 최적의 위치 라고 말 할 수 있습니다. 참, 이곳에 정말 귀여운 네 발 달린 식구도 있습니다. 그래서 (개털) 알레르기가 있으시면, 약 챙겨오는 거 잊지 마세요.

The staff was really nice and helpfull. Well English spoken if you have any questions, do not hestitate just ask. They help you to find for example the Korean flag, nice restaurant or just a tour around the city. They have for you the answers ;-). Even the (warning) signs in the Questhouse are very amusement. Please have a little bit awarness for the good cause by this Questhouse to help North Korean refugees.

공감 게스트 하우스에 계신 친절한 직원 분들 덕분에 많은 도움을 받을 수 있었습니다. 대구의 맛집과 명소는 물론 한국 태극기에 대해 질문 드렸는데, 정말 친절히 설명해 주셨습니다. 그러니 여러분, 모든 물어보세요. 저는 개인적으로 공감 게스트 하우스 곳곳에는 (경고) 표지판 읽는 재미에 푹 빠졌었습니다. 그리고 마지막으로 북한 탈북자들을 위해 설립된 공감 게스트 하우스의 목적에 대해 한번쯤 생각해보셨으면 합니다.
